The Sarawak Housing and Real Estate Developers’ Association (SHEDA) has successfully hosted its SHEDA Annual Dinner & Excellence Awards 2025 with a magnificent "Black & Red Symphony" theme, honouring leading property developers for their outstanding projects. The prestigious event, held at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK), was graced by the Guest of Honour, YB Datuk Amar Professor Dr Sim Kui Hian, Deputy Premier of Sarawak & Minister for Public Health, Housing and Local Government Sarawak representing YAB Premier of Sarawak.
The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the coveted SHEDA Excellence Awards and the recognition of SHEDA CSR Leadership Awards and the SHEDA Property Man of the Year 2025. The Outstanding Award for Commercial Development (Hotel) was clinched by Double Dynasty Holdings Sdn Bhd for the Sheraton Kuching Hotel. In the residential categories, Exal (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd earned the Outstanding Award for Landed Residential, Gated & Guarded (Large) for their SOL Estate, Phase 1 project, The Merit Award for Strata Development (Residential) went to Elica Sdn Bhd for Upton. A Commendation Award for Landed Residential (Large) was given to Sunmow Development Sdn Bhd for My Residence 2. SHEDA CSR Leadership Award was presented to the SHEDA Bintulu Branch for their recent contribution and effort mainly in Flood Relief & Education Assistance Initiative. This year’s distinguished award for SHEDA Property Man of the Year 2025 was presented to Mr. Goh Kim Sin, Founder & Managing Director of Top Green Group of Companies.
Lafrowda Properties Sdn Bhd was also celebrated for its achievement in winning the prestigious FIABCI Malaysia Property Award 2024. This accomplishment marks a historic first, as it is the first time a SHEDA Excellence Awards winner has gone on to gain this significant national-level recognition.
The evening concluded with a stellar performance by Alena Murang, The Band Lab and lucky draws, successfully bringing together the key players in Sarawak's property and construction sectors
