25 June 2025, SHEDA had the honour of hosting an engagement session with the Malaysian Civil Servants Housing (PPAM) Unit. The session served as a platform to exchange ideas, strengthen collaboration, and explore initiatives aimed at improving access to affordable housing for civil servants in Sarawak.
PPAM is a housing ownership scheme launched in 2013 following a Cabinet decision to address the challenges faced by civil servants particularly those in the low- and middle-income groups in purchasing homes, especially in high-demand urban areas. The initiative is part of the government's ongoing efforts to support home ownership among public sector employees by offering homes at more affordable prices.
This engagement marks a positive step towards aligning efforts between the public and private sectors in creating more inclusive, sustainable, and accessible housing solutions.
