Constitution of SHEDA Sarawak Housing and Real Estate Developers’ Association

Preamble

We, the members of SHEDA Sarawak Housing and Real Estate Developers’ Association, united in our commitment to advancing the interests of the housing and real estate sector in Sarawak, do hereby adopt this Constitution to guide the operations and activities of the Association. This Constitution provides the foundation for promoting best practices, fostering collaboration, and ensuring the development of sustainable and innovative housing solutions within the region.

Article I: Name and Objectives

The name of association shall be the SHEDA Sarawak Housing and Real Estate Developers’ Association, hereinafter referred to as “SHEDA,”

Membership shall be open to all individuals and organisations engaged in housing development, property management, real estate investment, and related activities within Sarawak.

Article III: Governance

Section 1: General Assembly

The General Assembly shall be the supreme body of SHEDA, consisting of all members in good standing. It shall meet at least once a year to discuss and approve the policies, budgets, and major decisions affecting the Association.

Section 2: Executive Committee

The Executive Committee shall be elected by the General Assembly and will oversee the day-to-day operations of SHEDA. It will be responsible for implementing the decisions made by the General Assembly and ensuring the Association’s objectives are achieved.

The key office bearers of SHEDA shall include:

Any amendments to this Constitution may be proposed by the Executive Committee or by a petition signed by at least one-third of the full members. Proposed amendments must be approved by a two-thirds majority vote at the General Assembly.

Article VI: Dissolution

In the event of dissolution, the assets of SHEDA shall be distributed according to the decision of the General Assembly, subject to applicable laws and regulations.
