Visit by H.E. The High Commissioner of Bangladesh

14/07/2010 (KUCHING) High Commissioner (HC) of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to Malaysia, AKM Atiqur Rahman, hopes to attract the interest of Sarawakian businessman to invest in his country.

Speaking to the press after a meeting with Sarawak Housing and Real Estate Developers’ Association (SHEDA), Rahman said that there are opportunities in the housing and real estate sectors in Bangladesh.

Other opportunities include infrastructure and construction of roads and highways, as well as improvement of the drainage systems.

“We also believe that there are opportunities in upcoming projects in Sarawak,” said Rahman.

“There are huge mega projects that will need foreign workers, and we hope they will also consider taking Bangladesh workers.”

SHEDA Secretary General, Sim Kiang Chiok, led the SHEDA members in the meeting.
