Sarawak Housing And Real Estate Developers' Association(SHEDA)

Sarawak Housing And Real Estate Developers' Association (SHEDA) was registered 1 in 6th July 1993. The Association was launched at an inaugural dinner which coincided with the Tripartite Meeting of the Real Estate and Housing Developers' Association peninsular Malaysia (REHDA) and Sabah Real Estate and Housing Association (SHAREDA) on the night of llth December 1993. The occasion was graced by YB Datuk David Teng Lung Chi, the then Assistant Minister for Environment, Tourism & Housing Sarawak.

With a mere 27 Property Development Companies as members, today SHEDA has a total of 232 members.

The first Logo for Sarawak Housing Developers' Association (SHDA) design and the color combination was selected with great detail to depict the elements and forces that play a part in the overall Property Development Industry in Sarawak . Merging the two squares (one red and the other silver) using tapering lines in the middle gives the meaning of members within the property development industry converging and coming together in a united & synergetic manner.

The new Logo for Sarawak Housing And Real Estate Developers' Association (SHEDA) was officially launched by YAB Pehin Sri Haji Abdul Taib Mahmud, Chief Minister of Sarawak , on 19 August 2006 . The Logo interprets the unison of a smart partnership between SHEDA and the State Government, in particular the Ministry of Housing, in providing housing for the benefit of Sarawakians.

BLACK denotes self control, commitment and responsibility by SHEDA members. These are vital qualities for any aspect of life and SHEDA will always value these qualities and strife to inculcate them in any business undertakings. RED is the colour of prosperity, vibrancy and vitality in our Eastern culture. WHITE is quality, professional & transparent.
